On 21 and 22 October, Valencia hosts the IV Premodern Nationals. A good number of our league regulars are heading down to eat paella, drink cazalla and play with cardboard that is between 20 and 30 years old.
Before that we have a couple of tournaments coming up, perfect for testing the deck we are going to crash and burn with at Gremio de Dragones:
LCOS PREMODERN, 8 OCTOBER 2023
This is our monthly tournament, played one Sunday a month. We are usually between 25 and 30 players and the atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a neighbourhood bar: relaxed, people who want to play, tier 1 decks but tier 4 ones too.
Five rounds of Swiss and a top 8. A playmat for the winner, patches for the top, a quarter of a patch and public humiliation for 9th place, and card raffles for everyone.

PREMODERN AUTUMN EVENING, 14 OCTOBER 2023
Last July we suggested to our friends at El Nucli that we run a small tournament on a Saturday afternoon, because on the Sunday we were putting on a Classic Legacy event and, with people travelling in, it made for a good weekend of vintage cardboard.
It has to be said that those visitors spent the Saturday sightseeing around the city, but even so that first outing at El Nucli was a huge success and we agreed to repeat it once every three months.
How it works is simple:

- Proxies, WCD, CE and IE cards are not allowed.
